Enter three dimensions. Pick a manufacturer. Pricerr auto-sizes every structural member to IRC 2021 code, generates CAD framing plans, calculates a full materials list, and builds a Good/Better/Best presentation — all before the homeowner finishes their coffee.
Three inputs. Thousands of calculations. One quote.
Length (how far from the house), width (how long along the house), and deck height. Toggle attached vs. freestanding. Rectangle or octagon. Add a second zone for bump-outs. Enter railing run, fascia footage, and stair length.
Pick a manufacturer — Trex, TimberTech, or Deckorators. Choose a product line and tier (Good through Best). Select board color, railing style and color, fascia color, pattern (straight, diagonal, herringbone), and picture frame option (none, single, double).
The engine spits out: a 2D framing plan with legend, side and front elevations, a complete materials list with quantities and pricing, material + labor + overhead cost breakdown, and a final quote with margin control. Ready to present as Good/Better/Best.
Every structural member is calculated from the International Residential Code span tables, not from a salesperson's gut feeling.
Span direction runs perpendicular to the house (the deck's length). The engine selects joist size (2x6, 2x8, 2x10) based on span length and spacing (16" OC standard). Joist count is calculated from the deck width.
Beam count depends on joist span (the deck's length). Attached decks: 0 beams for spans under 10', 1 beam for 10-16', 2 beams for 16'+. Freestanding decks get additional beams near both rims. Beam positioning accounts for 1.5-2' cantilever past the last beam.
6x6 pressure-treated posts spaced along the deck width, one per beam intersection. Post spacing calculated from code maximums. Post height matches deck height minus decking and joist depth.
12"x48" sonotubes per code requirement. Concrete calculated at 7 bags per footer (60lb bags). J-bolts and adjustable post bases included for every post location.
Riser height and tread depth calculated from deck height and IRC step geometry. Stringer count, rise count, and total run generated automatically. Dimensions appear on the elevation drawings.
Joist hangers (one per joist), post-beam connectors, framing nails (30-degree 16d), joist hanger nails (1.5"x.148), and blocking — all counted and priced from the structural layout.
No other pricing tool does this. The engine generates three views — plan, side elevation, and front elevation — as SVG drawings with proper dimensions, legends, and labels. They print directly onto the measure sheet PDF.
Top-down framing plan showing joist layout, beam positions, post locations with footers, ledger board attachment, blocking rows, picture frame border, and stair location. Full legend with member sizes (e.g., "2x8 Joists @ 16" OC", "6x6 Posts (3)", "12"x48" Footers").
Profile view showing house attachment, decking surface, joist depth, railing height (36"), post-to-footer connection, grade line, and stairs with rise/run callouts. Dimension labels for deck height, length, and stair geometry.
Face-on view showing beam face, joist cross-sections, railing profile, and post spacing along the deck width. Shows fascia treatment and deck board orientation.
These aren't decorative illustrations. They're dimensioned structural reference drawings that your install crew and permit office can actually read. (Labeled "Structural Reference Drawing — Not a permitted engineering document")
The materials list breaks down into sections: Decking (field boards, border boards by length), Framing (joists, rim boards, ledger, hangers, nails, connectors, blocking), Structural (posts, sonotubes, concrete, J-bolts, post bases), and Railing (rail kits by section count, post sleeves, caps).
Each line shows item name, quantity, unit (ea, LF, box), unit price, and total. Section subtotals roll up to a project total. The salesperson sees real cost — not a guess, not an estimate, not a "we'll figure it out later."
From premium Signature at $9.00/LF down to Enhance Basics at $2.23/LF. Full color palette per line. Five railing options with color matching.
PVC and composite options from AZEK's premium capped polymer down to Edge Prime+ entry-level. Compatible railing systems included.
Mineral-based composite decking from premium Voyage with 4-sided capping to value-oriented Trailhead. ALX aluminum railing options available.
